Honda City Launches in Malaysia with Refreshed Look, Priced From RM89,900

Honda Malaysia has officially launched the New City, introducing a refreshed look, updated interior technology, and expanded safety features across its B-segment sedan lineup. The updated model arrives in four variants, with prices starting from RM89,900.

On the outside, the New City gets a redesigned front grille, standard Bi-LED headlights across all variants, new 16-inch dual-tone milling alloy wheels, and signature Long Light Bar Headlights for the RS models.

Inside, the centerpiece is a larger 10-inch Display Audio touchscreen, complemented by new ambient cabin lighting, footlight illumination, and a wireless smartphone charger on the e:HEV RS variant.

Safety equipment has also been upgraded across the board. The Honda SENSING suite and Honda LaneWatch come standard on all variants, while a Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitoring is now included as standard equipment. Higher-end Petrol RS and e:HEV RS models also gain a new 360-degree Multi-View Camera System to aid with parking and tight maneuvers.

Powertrain options carry forward two familiar setups. The petrol variants feature a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine paired with a CVT, delivering 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The range-topping e:HEV RS uses Honda’s hybrid system, generating a maximum torque output of 253 Nm.

Pricing for the New City starts at RM89,900 for the 1.5L E, RM94,900 for the 1.5L V, RM99,900 for the 1.5L Petrol RS, and RM111,900 for the 1.5L e:HEV RS.

Exterior color options include Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Stellar Diamond Pearl for petrol variants, and a new Blazing Red Pearl option.

Purchases are backed by an 8-year unlimited mileage warranty, with the e:HEV RS receiving an additional 10-year warranty for its hybrid battery.
