Sennheiser Launches MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 and ACCENTUM Clip in Malaysia

Sennheiser has announced two new true wireless earbuds in Malaysia simultaneously, the flagship MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 and the more accessible open-ear ACCENTUM Clip, catering to two distinctly different listening styles.
The MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 is, of course, the headline product, bringing flagship-tier performance to a completely redesigned housing sculpted from data derived from thousands of unique ear models.
Sennheiser says the earbud’s fin-less aerodynamic silhouette was rated more comfortable than the previous generation by 73% of testers, and the companion charging case has been re-engineered with a narrower, pocket-friendly aspect ratio. IP54 resistance covers dust, sweat and splash.
At the core is Sennheiser’s 7mm TrueResponse dynamic driver manufactured and tested at the brand’s facility in Tullamore, Ireland, tuned for full-bodied, bass-driven sound with high detail retrieval.
Bluetooth 6.0 with aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless support delivers bit-perfect hi-res audio up to 24-bit and 96kHz on compatible sources. An RF antenna with selectable robust mode maintains signal integrity in crowded wireless environments, and Snapdragon Sound adds a low-latency mode for gaming alongside the high-resolution streaming pathway.
ANC has been upgraded with a revised adaptive hybrid system and automatic anti-wind mode. Voice capture engages all eight system sensors simultaneously, combining six microphones and two bone-conduction voice accelerometers with an AI speech-extraction algorithm. Dolby Atmos optimisation with interactive head-tracking carries over from the over-ear MOMENTUM 5, projecting spatial audio with a theater-like field that follows head movement.
The standout feature is the user-replaceable battery system in both the earbuds and the wireless charging case, swappable with a compact screwdriver. Battery life reaches 12 hours per charge with two additional replenishments in the Qi-enabled case for 40 hours total, with quick charging delivering an hour of listening from an 8-minute top-up. The Smart Control Plus app provides an 8-band EQ, prompt-guided sound personalisation and granular customisation.
The MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 is available in Graphite, Cream, Copper, Denim and Lavender at RM1,699 via the Sennheiser online store, official Shopee and Lazada storefronts and authorised retailers nationwide.
The ACCENTUM Clip takes a different approach, designed for those who want to stay aware of their surroundings without sacrificing sound quality. The open-ear clip design sits at just 6.8g per earbud, held in place by a flexible silicone bridge rather than an ear tip, providing natural ambient awareness without any electronic pass-through processing.
A 12mm dynamic driver tuned for clarity, punchy bass and smooth treble handles audio duties, with a Dynamic EQ that compensates for tonal shifts as volume is lowered to maintain balance at any listening level. LDAC support on compatible devices enables high-bitrate audio streaming alongside the standard SBC and AAC codecs, and Bluetooth 6.0 with Google Fast Pair handles connectivity. Each earbud features a dual-microphone system with AI noise reduction for calls.
Battery life is 9 hours per charge with three additional top-ups in the case for 36 hours total, and a 10-minute rapid charge delivers 2 hours of playback. IP54 covers dust and sweat. The Smart Control Plus app provides a 5-band EQ alongside shareable presets and Sound Check guided prompts.
