Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5 Wireless Now Available with Spatial Audio and Replaceable Battery for RM1,999

Sennheiser has officially launched the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless here in Malaysia, bringing several upgrades to its flagship over-ear headphone lineup. While retaining the 42mm drivers manufactured at Sennheiser’s facility in Ireland, the new model introduces Hi-Res Audio certification, Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless support, and Spatial Audio featuring head-tracking technology.

Active noise cancellation gets a boost this iteration, with Sennheiser doubling the dedicated microphone count to four per side. This yields up to three times more effective noise reduction against background voice chatter compared to its predecessor, while also improving call clarity.

The headphones ship with Bluetooth 5.4 out of the box and are engineered to support Bluetooth 6.0 as well as Dolby Atmos via future firmware updates through the Smart Control Plus app.

While the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless had a claimed 60 hours of battery life, the new model claims to have up to 57 hours of continuous playback with ANC enabled. Crucially, the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless introduces a user-replaceable 700mAh battery that can be swapped out using a standard Phillips-head screwdriver, extending the overall lifespan of the device without impacting acoustic performance. Additional hardware updates include a 20% smaller carrying case and plastic-free packaging.

The Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5 Wireless is available in Malaysia in Black, White, and Denim colorways. The headphones are priced at RM1,999 and are currently available through Sennheiser’s official online store, official Shopee and Lazada brand stores, and at authorized local retailers.
