Sony has reintroduced one of its most beloved headphones with the WH-1000XM4C, a refreshed version of the WH-1000XM4 featuring updated sound tuning and new colour options, available in Black, Platinum Silver and Lavender.

The WH-1000XM4C is largely the same headphone as the original XM4 in terms of design, retaining the foldable form factor and vegan leather earcup material that made the original a fan favourite.

Under the hood, it uses the same 40mm audio driver, QN1 noise-cancellation chip and four-microphone ANC system. The right earcup quick-attention feature, which pauses ANC by cupping the earcup, also carries over, as do the physical controls on the left earcup and touch gesture controls. Connectivity covers Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio jack for wired use.

The notable upgrade over the original XM4 is the expanded EQ capability, now offering 10 bands of adjustment compared to 5 on the previous model, alongside updated tuning. The one step back is battery life, which comes in at 27 hours with ANC active and 34 hours without, four hours shorter than the original XM4 in both modes.

The WH-1000XM4C is available for pre-order now at an introductory price of RM1,099, with units arriving from November 2026. An additional RM50 in TNG eWallet credit is available until 9 November. Standard pricing after the promotional period is RM1,399.
