DJI has announced the Osmo 360 II in Malaysia, a new 360-degree action camera built around a 1-inch square HDR image sensor capable of shooting 8K/60fps 360-degree video.

The 1-inch sensor uses a square format that maintains the same 360-degree image field as a traditional 1-inch rectangular sensor while increasing sensor utilisation by 25% for lower power consumption. Dynamic range reaches 14.5 stops, doubling the brightness range of its predecessor.

For low-light recording, AI SuperNight 2.0 applies a new noise-reduction algorithm to produce cleaner footage in the dark. Large 2.4 micrometre pixels paired with a high-performance chip help keep 8K/60fps footage sharp and reduce motion blur.

The camera’s two lenses carry an ultra-hard optical film for scratch and wear resistance, and are also user-replaceable, meaning a damaged lens can be swapped out in the field rather than requiring a full repair at the service center.

The camera also ships with 105GB of built-in storage and weighs just 183g. Battery life is rated at 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30fps recording, with fast charging up to 80% in 22 minutes. With the Battery Extension Rod that’s sold separately, runtime is pushed up to 180 minutes.

Creative features include 120MP HDR 360-degree stills, 16K 360-degree timelapse via Clouds mode, 64x Pano Slow Motion in post via DJI Studio’s AI frame interpolation, 8K/120fps Vortex slow motion. 10-bit D-Log M colour profile is also available across all video formats.

Spotlight Follow in the updated DJI Mimo app keeps a designated subject centred in the frame regardless of camera rotation, removing the need to reframe in post. A new NFC area enables one-tap connection to the Mimo app for footage transfer or direct access to the editing interface. DaVinci Resolve users can also import 360-degree files exported from DJI Studio via a dedicated plugin.

Audio is handled by a built-in four-microphone array with wind noise reduction, and the camera is compatible with DJI’s OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection for use with the Mic 3, Mic 2, Mic Mini 2S, Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini. A dual-direction quick-release design with a quarter-inch thread enables magnetic attachment on both sides and compatibility with standard camera accessories.

The Osmo 360 II is available in three configurations in Malaysia: The Standard Combo is priced at RM2,189, the Limitless Riding Combo at RM2,299 and the Adventure Combo at RM2,629.

Customers who purchase and activate any Osmo 360 II Series product between 2 and 30 September 2026 receive a complimentary DJI Care Refresh 1-Year Plan covering water damage, collisions and natural wear, activated within seven working days of device activation.
