2026 Honda City Facelift: Sportier Look and Updated Features, Bookings Now Open
Jin Soh
Honda Malaysia has opened bookings for the facelifted Honda City, bringing a refreshed exterior design and several interior and safety upgrades to one of the brand’s most popular nameplates in the B-segment sedan space.

Upfront, the New City gets a new Integrated Headlight Design with a full-width light bar connecting both sides for a sleeker, more contemporary front-end appearance. The front face has also been redesigned to incorporate air curtains for a wider and more dynamic look. At the rear, the bumper receives complementary updates while the overall silhouette remains recognisably City. The RS variant adds 16-inch milled alloy wheels in a two-tone Berlina Black and Dark Clear finish for a sportier edge.
Inside, the most notable upgrade is a new 10-inch Display Audio with ambient lighting, up from the previous eight-inch screen, providing a larger and more intuitive interface. The Multi-View Camera System now offers a full 360-degree view around the vehicle, and Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring comes as standard across all variants for the first time, complementing the existing LaneWatch camera.

Honda SENSING continues as standard across the range, covering Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking, Auto High Beam, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lead Car Departure Notification. Low Speed Follow is exclusive to the e:HEV RS variant.
Both powertrain options carry over unchanged. The 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine produces 121PS and 145Nm paired with a CVT, while the e:HEV hybrid system combines a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor producing 109PS and 253Nm through an e-CVT, with EV, Hybrid and Engine drive modes managing the transition between power sources intelligently depending on driving conditions.
Bookings are open now at prebook.honda.com.my and at authorised Honda dealerships nationwide. Customers who book between 27 August and 30 September 2026 receive a RM3,000 Early Bird Reward. A New City Pop-up Store will also be set up at designated locations to coincide with Merdeka Day celebrations.
