2026 BYD Sealion 7 Launched in Malaysia: New Dynamic Variant Starting From RM163,800

BYD Sime Motors has updated its electric SUV lineup in Malaysia with the introduction of the 2026 BYD Sealion 7, which brings an expanded range, faster charging, and a new entry-level variant. The updated lineup now consists of three distinct versions: the new Dynamic, the enhanced Premium, and the top-tier Performance.

The newly introduced Dynamic variant lowers the entry barrier for the flagship electric SUV, carrying a retail price of RM163,800. However, the first 300 customers can secure a special introductory price of RM159,800 or opt for a complimentary wallbox charger. It features a rear-wheel-drive layout with a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery, delivering 170 kW of power, 380 Nm of torque, an NEDC range of 520 km, and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.3 seconds.

Moving up the ladder, the Premium variant is priced at RM188,800 and shifts to a larger 91.39 kWh battery. This upgrade extends the driving range from 567 km to 650 km while boosting DC fast charging support from 150 kW to 230 kW. Power output is rated at 230 kW with 380 Nm of torque. Buyers of the Premium model also receive a complimentary wallbox alongside a RM3,888 overtrade bonus.

The range-topping Performance variant is priced at RM203,800, bringing an all-wheel-drive setup that generates 390 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque. It completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds while offering up to 600 km of range on the same 91.39 kWh battery and 230 kW charging capabilities. It also comes bundled with a complimentary wallbox and a RM2,888 overtrade bonus.

The updated vehicles are currently being showcased at the Beyond Your Drive roadshow happening at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from July 30 to August 2, 2026. Customers who book any BYD vehicle during the roadshow event will also receive RM200 in charging credits.
