DENZA Z9GT Makes Its Asia Pacific Debut in Malaysia at RM358,800

DENZA Malaysia has officially launched the Z9GT in Malaysia, marking the model’s Asia Pacific debut at RM358,800 and positioning it as the brand’s flagship luxury electric grand tourer in the local market.

The Z9GT is built on BYD’s e3 Platform with a tri-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 850kW and 1,210Nm of torque, dispatching zero to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds. Electric range is rated at up to 701km on the NEDC cycle. The e3 Platform also enables rear axle steering of up to 15 degrees, a 4.62-metre turning radius, Crab Mode, Pencil Compass Turn and Vehicle Motion Control for movement in tighter scenarios.

Power comes from BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery with a 122.49kWh capacity on a 1,000-volt architecture. As one of the first DENZA models to support BYD Flash Charging Technology, the Z9GT can charge from 10 to 70 percent in 5 minutes and 10 to 97 percent in 9 minutes. Energy density is approximately 5% higher than the previous generation while maintaining the Blade Battery’s established safety standards.

As for the interior, the cabin features two 13.2-inch front passenger displays and a 17.3-inch central infotainment screen. There’s also a 50-inch AR head-up display, a 9.1-inch digital rear view mirror, and a six-inch rear passenger touchscreen. The car comes with a Devialet 20-speaker audio system and is powered by the Google Automotive Services suite, which includes Google Maps, Google Assistant and full system integration across displays.

The Z9GT is available in two exterior colours, Rime Gold and Obsidian Black, each with a selection of interior combinations. The Rime Gold can be paired with Dark Chocolate and Perg Beige or an all-Black interior with suede seats and yellow stitching. The Obsidian Black adds a third option with a Dark Chocolate and Red Velvet interior alongside the same two choices available on the Rime Gold.

The ownership package covers a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, six years of complimentary scheduled maintenance worth RM10,000, an eight-year or 160,000km high-voltage battery warranty, an eight-year or 160,000km drive unit warranty, three years of complimentary Flash Charging access and a complimentary pair of DENZA x Devialet earbuds worth RM2,000.
