After its initial release in China earlier this year, the Huawei Pura 90s series has officially launched in Malaysia. The flagship series is offered in two variants in the local market: the Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max, both running EMUI 16 based on Android 16.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro sports a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor and is offered with 12GB of RAM, paired with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The Pro’s camera setup consists of a 50MP Ultra Lighting Main Camera with a variable F1.4-F4.0 aperture, a 12.5MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto Camera with OIS, 4x optical zoom and a minimum focusing distance of 5cm for close-ups and macro shots. The front camera is a 13MP ultrawide sensor.

Powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery with 66W Huawei SuperCharge wired charging and 50W Huawei SuperCharge wireless charging.

The Pura 90s Pro Max steps up with a larger 6.9-inch OLED display with the same adaptive 1Hz to 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, protected by Anti-Reflection and Scratch-Resistant Kunlun Glass for added durability and reduced glare. It shares the Kirin 9030S processor and EMUI 16, and is available with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The Pro Max’s camera is headlined by the 200MP Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera, featuring a 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor, 4x optical zoom, OIS and 20x HEX Telephoto Video capability for capturing distant subjects at concerts or sporting events.

It is complemented by a 40MP ultrawide camera, an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera as the main shooter with a variable F1.6-F4.0 aperture and a 13MP ultrawide front camera. Battery capacity matches the Pro at 6,000mAh, with charging speeds stepping up to 100W wired and 80W wireless Huawei SuperCharge.

Both models benefit from a suite of AI imaging features. AI Composition recognises scenes and offers framing guidance for more balanced shots. AI De-Glare removes reflections when shooting through glass, AI Move allows subjects to be repositioned within the gallery and AI Remove eliminates unwanted distractions while restoring the background.

AI Best Expression intelligently selects the best expressions across multiple frames for portraits and group shots, and the second-generation True-to-Colour Camera delivers more natural colour accuracy across different lighting conditions.

The Pura90s Pro starts at RM3,699 for the 12GB+256GB variant and RM3,999 for the 12GB+512GB model.

The Pura90s Pro Max, on the other hand, comes in a single variant at RM4,899 with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The Pura 90s Pro is available in Guava Soda, Orange Soda, Coconut White and Mulberry Black. The Pura 90s Pro Max comes in Orange Ocean, Blaze Purple, Blush Gold and Graphite Black, with the Orange Ocean edition featuring an industry-first Dual-Tone Gradient Mid-Frame.

Both models are available for pre-order at all Huawei Experience Stores, the Huawei Official Website and official storefronts on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.

Pre-orders come with free gifts worth up to RM3,076, including a limited voucher worth up to RM400, a mystery gift worth RM999 and the Huawei Pura 90s Series Premium Service package worth RM1,677, covering one year of accidental damage protection, unlimited free battery replacement, APAC and MEA warranty coverage, four complimentary screen protector replacements over two years and one-on-one VIP service.
