HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version Luna VII, titled Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana, will launch on 20 May, bringing players back to Sumeru for a new Archon Quest alongside three new playable characters.

The new Archon Quest pushes Sumeru into an unprecedented crisis as Nahida falls into an inexplicable slumber and a mysterious new adversary emerges bearing a striking resemblance to Il Dottore, long thought to have been defeated. The unfolding threat pulls in familiar allies including Collei, Ibis King Thoth and Nicole as the conflict escalates. Players who complete the chapter within the limited-time window can earn up to 560 Primogems and Nicole’s Ascension Materials, as well as unlock a new Weekly Boss with unpredictable abilities. A new Guiding Notes feature will also provide in-game story recaps for players looking to brush up on past events before diving in.

Making her debut in the first half of Version Luna VII is Nicole Reeyn, the first playable mage from the Hexenzirkel, described as a voiceless angel whose words speak directly to the heart. She joins as a five-star Pyro Catalyst wielder built around teamwide support. Her Elemental Skill grants an ATK Bonus to all party members including those off the field while generating a shield, and her Elemental Burst summons an Arcane Projection that follows the active character, unleashing Coordinated Attacks based on that character’s Elemental Type with further enhancements under the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect.

Outside of combat, her Charged Attack summons a Seelie to guide her toward nearby treasure. Version Luna VII also opens the interior of the Witch’s Lodge in Nicole’s Meeting Point: The Witch’s Garden for the first time, with new rooms, stories and hidden rewards unlocking on a weekly basis.

Joining her in the second half is Lohen, Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius’ Fifth Company and a five-star Cryo Polearm wielder. His kit revolves around managing two resources, Joy and Will to Win, with his Elemental Skill enabling a Masterstroke state that lets him build and consume Joy for enhanced attacks while Will to Win accumulates as teammates engage in battle. His synergy with Hexenzirkel characters amplifies his combat potential further, and his Story Quest promises an untold chapter from the history of the Knights of Favonius.

Rounding out the new additions is Prune, a four-star Anemo Catalyst wielder and self-proclaimed Witch Hunter certified by Alice, who uses a bell and a giant hammer to deal multi-elemental damage and trigger Swirl reactions. The first-half Event Wish pairs Nicole and Prune’s debuts with a rerun of Durin, while the second half brings Lohen alongside a Mavuika rerun.

On the activities side, a limited-time event centred on Klee’s Little Hexenzirkel invites players to take part in mini-games alongside Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu and newest member Prune, with rewards including the exclusive weapon appearance Super Awesome Magic Key. Miliastra Wonderland will also host a special sports festival, and Manekins gain the ability to perform actions across Teyvat for more expressive Kamera moments. Version Luna VII additionally expands the suite of editing tools and assets available to players.
