HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1, titled Unraveled for Daybreak, will go live on 25 March, continuing the Planarcadia arc with a mix of festival chaos and simmering conspiracies.

Following the events of the previous update, where the Trailblazer defeated local streaming sensation Sparxie to become Planarcadia’s top trending figure, Pearl, the CEO of Planarcadia, has decided to channel that momentum into something bigger. In collaboration with the Astral Express crew, she is organising Star Rail FEST, a large-scale exposition themed around the legendary journey of the Astral Express. The festival will feature three major open zones modelled after Belobog, the Xianzhou Luofu and Penacony, accessible via a special Pom-Pom front shuttle express through Interplanar Jump. Pearluxe Tower, the headquarters of Pearluxe Corp, will also open for exploration, housing the newly unveiled ultra-poseable model Alloy King Pom-Pom alongside a range of mechatron-themed interactive activities.

Beneath the festivities, however, the Phantasmoon Games continue to unfold and the War of the Supplicants edges closer to eruption. Various crises are on the horizon, and it seems the Star Rail FEST may not go quite as smoothly as planned.

Ashveil, who made his entrance at the close of the previous story stage while investigating a murder case in the Dovebrook District, will officially become a playable character in Version 4.1. He is a five-star Lightning-type character on the Path of The Hunt and will be available throughout the entire version’s Warp banner. In combat, Ashveil designates an enemy as Bait, reducing the DEF of all enemies on the field while the target remains active. Attacking the Bait with his Skill deals bonus damage and recovers Skill Points for the team.

He also launches Follow-Up Attacks whenever a teammate strikes the Bait, gradually building up a resource called Gluttony that further enhances his Follow-Up ATK capabilities. Upon securing a kill, his pursuit does not stop there and carries over to the next enemy automatically. Outside of combat, his Technique can inflict a Stunned state on nearby enemies during map exploration, and he passively increases CRIT DMG for all allies upon entering battle.

Version 4.1 also introduces a brand new activity called Wispae War Saga, a strategic mode where the Trailblazer leads wispae soldiers into battle within the Graphia Academy. Progress involves upgrading wispae units, deploying spell cards and capsules with varying effects, and defeating powerful champions to unlock new wispae companions. Completing the academy challenges also opens up additional matches against outside adversaries for players looking for a deeper challenge beyond the standard reward track.
