Poco M8 5G and M8 Pro 5G Arrive in Malaysia, Starting from RM859

Poco has introduced its latest lineup in Malaysia with the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Pro 5G. Both models are positioned as midrange smartphones, offering balanced hardware for everyday use.

The Poco M8 5G features a 6.77-inch Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging via USB-C.

Its camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 20MP front-facing camera. Other notable features include IP66 water resistance, an IR blaster, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Meanwhile, the Poco M8 Pro 5G comes with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, also reaching 3,200 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the more capable Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The Pro model packs a larger 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging via USB-C.

In terms of cameras, the Poco M8 Pro 5G features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. Like the standard model, it also includes IP66 water resistance, an IR blaster, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

Pricing in Malaysia starts with the Poco M8 Pro 5G (8GB + 256GB) at RM1,199, with a promotional price of RM1,099, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at RM1,499, or RM1,299 during the promotional period. The Poco M8 5G is available in an 8GB + 256GB variant at RM999 (promotional price RM859) and an 8GB + 512GB variant at RM1,199 (promotional price RM959).
