Sales of the iPhone Air have reportedly been lower than expected, leading Apple to scale back production. Now, a new report suggests that Apple might not launch the iPhone Air 2 in 2026.

According to The Information, Apple’s 2026 lineup will likely focus on the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and possibly the long-rumored foldable iPhone, expected in September 2026. Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18E are said to be slated for release in the first half of 2027.

As for the iPhone Air, its future remains uncertain. Earlier reports suggested Apple was planning a lighter design and larger battery capacity for the next iteration, but due to weaker demand, those plans are now being re-evaluated.

This wouldn’t be the first time Apple has pulled back on a product line. The company previously discontinued both the iPhone Mini and iPhone Plus series. Still, there’s a chance the iPhone Air lineup could return with an update sometime in 2027.
