Canon EOS R6 Mark III Launches in Malaysia — 32.5MP, 7K Recording from RM10,999

Canon Malaysia is expanding its EOS R mirrorless lineup with the launch of the new full-frame EOS R6 Mark III. Building on the success of its predecessor, the EOS R6 Mark III delivers improved image quality, faster performance and greater reliability.

At a glance, the EOS R6 Mark III retains the familiar design and handling of the previous R6 Mark II but now offers enhanced button customisation and refined ergonomics for handheld vertical shooting. It continues to use the LP-E6P battery pack and supports the BG-R20/BG-R20EP battery grip, allowing longer shoots and improved comfort when shooting vertically.

Inside, the camera packs a new 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC X processor, promising detailed image capture with more cropping flexibility. The EOS R6 Mark III can shoot up to approximately 150 frames at 40 fps using the electronic shutter, or 12 fps with the mechanical and first-curtain shutter.

A new pre-continuous shooting function captures up to 20 frames before the shutter button is fully pressed, ensuring you never miss the shot. There’s also a Register People Priority feature, which allows pre-registered faces to be prioritised for detection and tracking which is useful for events, concerts, or sports photography.

Video capabilities have also been improved. The EOS R6 Mark III supports up to 7K 60p internal RAW recording to a CFexpress Type B card and is the first EOS R series camera to offer 3:2 Open Gate recording at up to 7K 30p RAW. Recording formats have been expanded with internal RAW capture, Canon Log 2, and HLG gamma recording added alongside Canon Log 3 and HDR PQ, giving creators more options for both shooting and post-production.

Alongside the launch, Canon has also announced its nationwide “Drive Your Dream” campaign, running from 1 November 2025 to 31 January 2026. Open to anyone who purchases a participating Canon camera or lens from authorised stores, the campaign offers prizes worth over RM300,000 — including a Tesla Model 3 as the Grand Prize, as well as Canon cameras, lenses, Apple iPhones, and more.

The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is now available for pre-order until 16 November. The body-only model is priced at RM10,999, while lens kits with the RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM and RF24-105mm F4L IS USM retail at RM12,499 and RM15,999 respectively. Pre-orders include up to four years of warranty coverage, two Canon LP-E6P battery packs, and a complimentary 128GB V309 SD card.
