Honor of Kings Animated Film Announced for 2028, Directed by Chiyu Zhang

During the Honor of Kings Carnival celebrating the game’s 10th anniversary, Tencent revealed that an animated feature film based on Honor of Kings is currently in development and slated for release in 2028.

The film will be directed by Chiyu Zhang, best known for his work on Never Say Die and Moon Man. However, no further details, including plot, cast, or whether the movie will receive a global release, have been announced yet.

Animated content tied to Honor of Kings isn’t new; the franchise previously released short episodes as part of the Secret Level anthology available on Prime Video. The upcoming film, however, marks the series’ first full-length cinematic adaptation.
