Microsoft has quietly adjusted the subscription fee for PC Game Pass in Malaysia, raising the monthly cost to RM25. This marks a RM5 increase from the previous RM20, and a full RM10 jump in just two year, back when the service was only RM15 per month.

The price adjustment follows Microsoft’s broader efforts to stabilize Xbox’s business, which has reportedly become less profitable. It also comes a year after the last Game Pass price hike, and only weeks after the U.S. saw the price of the Xbox Series X and Series S increase due to “Trump Tariffs.”

Despite the higher fee, Malaysian subscribers will continue to enjoy the same benefits: day-one access to Xbox Game Studios titles and unlimited play from a catalog of hundreds of PC games. For local gamers, PC Game Pass remains one of the most affordable ways to access premium titles legally in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, the Xbox Game Pass subscription (for console) has also gone up in price globally. But since the Xbox console itself isn’t officially launched in Malaysia, the change has far less impact locally compared to PC players.
