After five years of collaboration, OnePlus has officially ended its partnership with Hasselblad and is moving forward with its own in-house imaging solution, the OnePlus DetailMax Engine.

According to the company, working with Hasselblad has been invaluable in refining its approach to mobile photography. Now, the DetailMax Engine builds on that experience, aiming to capture images that look not only beautiful but also true-to-life with enhanced sharpness and clarity.

OnePlus says the goal is to make photos feel as close to reality as possible when taken on a smartphone. Early prototypes of the technology are already undergoing internal testing, with more details expected to be revealed when the company launches its next flagship device.
