DJI Launches Osmo 360, Its First 360 Camera — Starts at RM1879

DJI has officially launched its first-ever 360-degree camera, the DJI Osmo 360. While the brand may be arriving relatively late to the 360 camera scene, the Osmo 360 comes packed with quite a number of industry-firsts. Among them is its ability to capture 8K 360° video at 50fps and in 8K at 30fps for up to 100 minutes.
The Osmo 360 uses an industry-first square HDR image sensor, which retains the same 360° field of view as a typical 1-inch rectangular sensor, but with better efficiency. By eliminating the unused sensor area often found in rectangular designs, DJI claims this new sensor format achieves 25% more sensor utilization. This, in turn, improves image quality while also reducing power consumption.
Another significant leap is the Osmo 360’s use of large 2.4μm pixels, which is double the standard 1.2μm pixel size seen in most 360 cameras. The result is superior image clarity, less noise, and enhanced low-light capability, made even better by the f/1.9 aperture that helps let more light into the sensor. Combined with a dynamic range of 13.5 stops, the Osmo 360 is designed to handle high-contrast scenes like sunrise, sunset, or indoor low-light shots with clarity and vibrancy.
Using DJI’s invisible selfie stick, the stick is automatically erased from 360° footage, giving that signature floating camera look without the need for post-processing. For action sequences or fast-paced environments, the Osmo 360 can shoot 360° video in 4K at 100fps, while a 4x slow motion mode helps stretch out the most dramatic moments.

Still photography hasn’t been forgotten either. Users can snap ultra-detailed 120MP 360° photos, ideal for capturing scenic moments or highly immersive landscapes in a single shot. Control-wise, the camera supports both gesture and voice commands, allowing users to start and stop recording completely hands-free—a valuable addition for vloggers, solo creators, or when the camera is mounted in tricky positions.
Stabilisation is handled by DJI’s HorizonSteady and RockSteady 3.0 systems. With HorizonSteady, 360° footage remains level even when the camera rotates freely. For first-person content using the single-lens mode, RockSteady effectively eliminates shake without dulling the dynamic nature of the footage. DJI Mimo’s GyroFrame allows users to reframe 360° content by simply moving their phone or device, and the intelligent tracking system can lock onto and follow subjects like people, vehicles, or pets with ease.

The DJI Osmo 360 is available starting today via DJI’s official store and authorised retail partners. It comes in two bundles: the Standard Combo, priced at RM1,879, includes the Osmo 360 camera, a battery, protective pouch, lens cleaning cloth, USB-C PD cable, and rubber lens protector. Meanwhile, the Adventure Combo is priced at RM2,369 and adds a multifunctional battery case, adjustable quick release mount, and the Osmo Invisible Selfie Stick.
