Sonos Launches Beam Ultra Soundbar and Ace Ultra Headphones in Malaysia

Sonos has officially unveiled its latest audio hardware and software lineup in Malaysia, bringing the Beam Ultra soundbar, Sonos Ace Ultra over-ear headphones, as well as the new Sonos 27 operating system to our shores. Distributed officially by TC Acoustic, the new lineup will be available in stores starting 29 September.

Starting with the Sonos Beam Ultra, the soundbar retains the compact footprint of its predecessor while upgrading to a 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos home theatre setup. Powered by nine custom drivers, including two dedicated up-firing drivers, the soundbar features a redesigned center channel for improved dialogue clarity alongside four levels of AI Speech Enhancement. Users can also pair the soundbar with a Sonos Sub or compatible Sonos portable speakers like the Sonos Play to function as wireless surrounds, giving listeners flexibility to move speakers around the home when needed.

As for the new Sonos Ace Ultra, the over-ear headphones feature custom 40mm drivers, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation powered by ten microphones, and up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC enabled. Running on Headphone Engine 2, the headphones support direct audio linking with the broader Sonos ecosystem, enabling users to hand off playback between the headphones and home speakers with a single button press without needing a phone nearby.

On the software front, Sonos 27 introduces new AI integration alongside an updated app interface. Through Sonos 27mcp, built on the open-standard Model Context Protocol, users can link their Sonos system directly to AI platforms like ChatGPT to control playback, adjust room volumes, or transfer audio using natural language requests.

Pricing for the Sonos Beam Ultra is set at RM4,199 in Black and White options, while the Sonos Ace Ultra retails for RM2,299 across Black, White, Agave, and Sand colorways. Pre-orders are currently open at the Sonos Concept Store by TC Acoustic at The Starhill KL, as well as online via TC Acoustic’s website and official Lazada store.
