Hisense Releases RoamView in Malaysia, A Portable Screen That Moves Room to Room

Hisense has officially introduced RoamView in Malaysia, adding a 32-inch portable display to its Lifestyle Series,alongside CanvasTV and DécoTV. The new product is designed to address a, rather niche, household dilemma: traditional TVs stay anchored to one wall, while tablet screens often feel too small for immersive viewing.

RoamView aims to bridge that gap by offering a 32-inch 4K 60Hz ELED (Edge LED) touchscreen that moves freely around the home. The setup pairs the display with a stand featuring a built-in battery, allowing the unit to be wheeled or carried between rooms and used without searching for a wall outlet. The battery is rated for up to 10 hours of use and features fast charging that fully charges the display in 3 hours.

Users can adjust the height, tilt, and orientation by swivelling between portrait and landscape modes to suit different viewing positions. One small note: if you detach the screen from its stand, it will need to be connected directly to a power outlet.

On the software front, Hisense positions RoamView as a multi-purpose screen rather than a simple portable TV. On top of 4K streaming, it includes a built-in app suite featuring a Whiteboard app for quick notes and planning, a digital sketchpad for creative work, an Art Gallery mode to blend into home decor, and Karafun for karaoke. Under the hood, it runs on a processing platform paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Hisense Malaysia has yet to announce local pricing and exact availability details but the RoamView is priced at 1200USD in select markets.
