Honor Confirms X9e Pro for Malaysia with Major Battery, Durability and Water Resistance Upgrades

Honor has officially confirmed the upcoming arrival of the X9e Pro in Malaysia, marking the first Pro model to join the X Series lineup. The phone made a surprise public debut at Malaysia’s National Day parade before the official announcement, giving spectators an early look at the device ahead of its launch.

The X9e Pro is positioned around three headline improvements that Honor is branding under the EXTREME label, covering battery capacity, drop resistance and water resistance.

Battery capacity seems to be the primary focus, with Honor hinting it could feature the largest in its segment, though the exact figure has yet to be disclosed. The upgraded drop resistance builds on the X Series’ existing durability reputation, while the water resistance gets a step up over the previous generation for better protection in everyday situations.

On the design front, the X9e Pro debuts in a new purple colourway with light gold accents along the frame and around the rear camera module, a more premium-looking finish than the X Series has typically carried.

Pricing, full specifications and a launch date have yet to be announced.
