Acer just showcased the Vero 16 laptop at its next@acer global press conference in Berlin, the fourth generation of its sustainability-focused consumer laptop lineup. Although, local pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.

The Vero 16 is built around a MIL-STD-810H certified chassis in Earthy Brown, with the top and palm-rest covers comprising 50% post-industrial recycled aluminium and 50% low-carbon aluminium produced using hydropower.
The bottom cover uses 60% post-consumer recycled plastic and the display bezels use 30% PCR plastic. Side I/O covers are made from 75% post-industrial recycled aluminium. The packaging of the laptop itself is fully recyclable and made from recycled materials as well.

Aside from sustainability, repairability is another distinctive aspect of the Vero 16’s design philosophy. A tool-free access latch on the bottom cover allows users to easily reach internal components, with both the battery and SSD being user-replaceable.
The external hinge is detachable from the chassis to facilitate easier repairs, removable I/O port covers on both sides simplify port servicing and a visual repair guide is engraved directly onto the device. The laptop is also designed to support processor upgrades across at least two future generations, extending its lifespan beyond the typical replacement cycle.
Performance is handled by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with up to 180 platform TOPS, making the Vero 16 a Copilot+ PC. The top-end configuration pairs an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H with Intel Arc B390 graphics, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 512GB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage.

The display is a 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ panel at 2880×1800 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 100,000:1 contrast ratio and True Black HDR 500 certification. Slightly lower-resolution OLED options in WUXGA are also available, including a touch-enabled variant.
Iin terms of ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports including one USB 3.2 Gen 2 with power-off charging, an SD card reader, HDMI 2.1 with HDCP and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity is handled by Intel Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.6. Other specs include a 5MP IR camera with a physical privacy shutter and a 71Wh battery with fast charging.
AI features include Acer PurifiedView for camera enhancement during video calls, Acer PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction and AcerSense for performance mode control, battery optimisation and system monitoring via a dedicated hotkey.
As mentioned, the Acer Vero 16 will be available in EMEA in Q1 of 2027, with no word yet on availability here in Malaysia. Exact specifications will also vary by region.
