REDMI Note 17 Series Debuts in Malaysia With Massive 10,000mAh Battery

Xiaomi has officially introduced the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, headlined by the introduction of the brand’s first-ever Pro Max model. The new lineup focuses on long-term durability and massive battery capacity, led by the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G which packs a 10,000mAh battery.
The series comprises four models: the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and the standard REDMI Note 17. Built around what Xiaomi calls REDMI Titan Quality, the devices feature upgraded dust and water resistance, with the Pro models achieving TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification alongside drop-resistance ratings.
The standout REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging. Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G comes with an 8,340mAh battery and 67W HyperCharge, while the 5G and standard variants are equipped with 7,700mAh batteries and 45W turbo charging. Xiaomi states that the batteries are engineered to retain over 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, translating to roughly six years of typical use.
On the display and performance front, the Pro models feature 6.83-inch 1.5K resolution displays reaching up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform on the Pro Max. The REDMI Note 17 5G and standard REDMI Note 17 sport larger 6.99-inch displays and are powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 respectively.
Photographic capabilities include true-to-life portrait modes, 4K video recording on the Pro Max, and integrated AI tools like Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G are offered in 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB storage variants. Color variants for the former include Cloud Blush, Black, and Purple color options, while the latter will come in Blue, Black, and Purple.

Pre-orders for the series are open until September 2, 2026, with official first sales and a special “REDMI Boss for A Day” event featuring Malaysia ambassador Meerqeen scheduled for September 5 at the Xiaomi Store in The Exchange TRX.
