Xiaomi has just unveiled the 17T Series in Malaysia, introducing the 17T and 17T Pro as the first T Series lineup to come in two sizes. Both models are available for pre-order from 28 May to 11 June 2026.

The headline camera feature across both models is a Leica 5x telephoto lens, making its T Series debut on both variants for the first time. The 50MP telephoto supports OIS, macro photography, 10x optical-grade zoom and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. The main camera is also 50MP, with a 1/1.31-inch sensor on the Pro and a 1/1.55-inch sensor on the standard model, both using a 1G+6P hybrid Leica Summilux lens structure.
A new feature called Leica Live Moment captures motion and expression leading up to a shot rather than just the instant itself. Leica Live Portrait extends this into Portrait mode with natural bokeh while retaining motion, with multiple Live Moment captures able to be combined into shareable collages. The 17T Pro adds 4K 60fps cinematic recording and Live Cinematography in Ultra-HD 4K via an OTA update from launch day.

Both phones feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with 3,500 nits of peak brightness and ultra-slim bezels. The Pro sports a 6.83” 144Hz display while the standard 17T runs a 6.59” 120Hz display in a more compact form factor. The series also debuts Xiaomi Vision Care, carrying TÜV Rheinland’s quadruple eye-care certification alongside a new TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification.
On the performance side, the 17T Pro runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 built on a 3nm process, while the 17T uses the Dimensity 8500-Ultra on 4nm. The Pro carries a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, while the 17T gets a 6,500mAh cell with 67W HyperCharge. Thermal management is handled by Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop System across both models.

The 17T Pro is available in Deep Blue, Deep Violet and Black. The 17T comes in Violet, Blue, Opal White and Black. Pre-order gifts for both models include a free Redmi Pad 2 9.7 worth RM569 alongside digital benefits including extended warranty, screen breakage protection, YouTube Premium, Spotify Premium and Google AI Pro subscriptions.
The Xiaomi 17T starts from RM2,399 for the online-exclusive 12GB and 256GB variant, with the 12GB and 512GB model at RM2,499. The 17T Pro starts from RM2,899 for 12GB and 256GB, RM3,199 for 12GB and 512GB and RM3,499 for the 12GB and 1TB top-end configuration. All models are available at Xiaomi stores nationwide, mi.com and official Xiaomi storefronts on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
