Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A7 Pro in Malaysia, marking the first Pro model to join the Redmi A Series. It arrives in two storage configurations at RM399 for the 4GB and 64GB variant and RM449 for the 4GB and 128GB version, with up to 8GB of RAM expansion supported on both.

The A7 Pro runs on an octa-core processor paired with UFS 2.2 storage and debuts HyperOS 3 on the Redmi A Series for the first time. The software update brings Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search support, Xiaomi HyperIsland for multitasking and Xiaomi Interconnectivity for cross-device use.
The 6.9-inch display peaks at 800 nits of brightness with a 120Hz refresh rate and carries triple TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certifications alongside DC dimming. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 keeps touch response accurate when fingers are wet or oily.

Battery capacity sits at 6,000mAh with a rated lifespan of 1,000 charge cycles while retaining over 80% capacity. Xiaomi quotes over two days of usage on a single charge, with up to 49 hours of calls, 35 hours of video playback or 77 hours of music playback as reference figures.
On the camera side, the A7 Pro carries a 13MP AI dual rear camera with an enlarged sensor that Xiaomi says increases light intake by 13%. HDR+ is supported alongside a dedicated night mode, and AI Sky lets users enhance skies in post. Document Mode turns the camera into a portable scanner for receipts and notes. The front camera is an 8MP unit with night mode and built-in beauty features.
The A7 Pro measures 8.15mm thin and is available in Sunset Orange, Black and Mist Blue, with Palm Green as an additional colour option. Other practical inclusions are a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC and a 200% volume boost mode.

The Redmi A7 Pro is available now at Xiaomi stores nationwide, mi.com and official Xiaomi storefronts on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, priced at RM399 for the 4GB and 64GB variant and RM449 for the 4GB and 128GB model.
