Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 Arrives 24 March with Cissia and Nangong Yu

HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7, titled Champions Never Fall to the Past, will go live on 24 March, centred around the Hollow Champion competition hosted by TOPS across New Eridu.

The tournament has drawn a wider field of competitors than expected. Alongside familiar factions like the Cunning Hares and the Sons of Calydon, Public Security’s Metropolitan Order Division has also entered the fray, as have former Calydon’s Sweepers. Lurking among the challengers is the infamous Black Wolf Romeul, who brings a particular combat mechanic to contend with. In battle, Romeul can activate a Corruptive Barrier that raises his CRIT Damage Resistance and Interruption Resistance while draining opponents’ HP over time. Teams built around sustained Anomaly damage will find more success breaking through it efficiently.

Two new agents make their debut in Version 2.7. Cissia, representing the Metropolitan Order Division, is an S-Rank Electric Attack agent who enters battle with three stacks of Venom, each dealing Electric damage while temporarily boosting her CRIT Rate. The stacks dissipate naturally over time but can be replenished through her EX Special Attack, and once enough have accumulated, her Basic Attack Serpent’s Kiss lets her cash them in for concentrated bursts of damage at key moments.

Joining her is Nangong Yu, captain and lead dancer of the Angels of Delusion and an S-Rank Ether Stun agent. She passively boosts her team’s Anomaly Buildup Rate against Stunned enemies and regenerates a resource called Downbeat automatically over time, with additional recovery triggered whenever a squad member inflicts Anomaly. Building sufficient Downbeat enables powerful charged attacks that extend enemy Stun duration while accelerating her own Stun and Anomaly accumulation, setting teammates up for heavy follow-up damage. Her Ultimate activates Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, providing an Attack boost across the entire squad.

A brand-new outfit for Nangong Yu is also available this version, and Proxies who collect all members of Angels of Delusion will unlock an exclusive faction wallpaper. Returning this version are S-Rank Ice Rupture agent Yidhari and Electric Attack agent Seed.

On the activities side, the Simmer Hotpot Restaurant at Lumina Square gets its own themed event, where Proxies can help Blaze navigate her latest predicament alongside a hotpot-themed minigame. A special HSOS 6 mission tasks players with completing a relay-style combat challenge using three two-member squads. The Simulated Battle Trial also receives an update with new enemy lineups and additional bonus mechanics, with leaderboard competition now available for those chasing higher scores. Rewards include Polychromes, a namecard and exclusive titles.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7 launches on 24 March for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS and Android.
