Following the release of the iPhone 17e and M4 iPad Air, Apple has officially expanded its MacBook lineup with the launch of the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, both now powered by the M5 generation of chips.

The new MacBook Air now features the M5 chip and sees its base storage doubled to 512GB, with the maximum configuration now reaching 4TB. Apple has also upgraded the internal SSD to offer twice the read and write performance of the outgoing model. Connectivity sees a boost as well, with the Air now supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Available in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver, the 13-inch MacBook Air now starts at RM4,699, while the 15-inch model begins at RM5,499.

On the professional side, the MacBook Pro line introduces the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, both featuring an 18-core CPU. The M5 Pro offers up to a 20-core GPU, while the M5 Max scales up to a 40-core GPU for high-demand tasks. Much like the Air, the Pro models have received a storage bump, with the entire lineup now starting at a minimum of 1TB. The base 14-inch MacBook Pro with the standard M5 chip is available in space black and silver, starting at RM6,999.

For those requiring more power, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro starts at RM8,999, while the 16-inch variant begins at RM10,999. The high-end M5 Max configurations represent a more significant investment, with the 14-inch model starting at RM14,999 and the 16-inch model at RM15,999. These models are also offered in space black and silver finishes.
