Shopee Introduces ShopeeVIP Subscription Plan at RM6.99/Month

Shopee is rolling out a new monthly subscription plan called ShopeeVIP, giving users access to exclusive perks and discounts. The plan is currently being offered to selected users, with the first month free, after which it will cost RM6.99 per month.

Subscribers to ShopeeVIP will receive shopping vouchers for Shopee purchases, ShopeeFood discounts, SPayLater benefirs, and priority customer service. Additionally, the plan includes free shipping for orders fulfilled by Shopee, adding more value for frequent buyers on the platform.

The introduction of ShopeeVIP appears to be part of Shopee’s broader effort to diversify its revenue streams and monetize its most active users. It could also signal a shift toward offering exclusive discounts only for paying subscribers, reducing the widespread free vouchers that Shopee has traditionally provided. The concept is similar to Grab Unlimited and FoodPanda Pro, which offers discounts and benefits for customers in Malaysia.
