Threads Rolls Out Group Messaging Support for Up to 50 People

Meta’s social platform Threads is expanding its messaging capabilities once again. After introducing direct messaging (DM) features in July 2025, the app now supports group chats, allowing users to message and interact with multiple people at once directly within the Threads app.

With this latest update, users can create group conversations with up to 50 participants, making it easier for communities, creators, and friend groups to stay connected. Similar to other messaging platforms, users can also name their group chats, while Meta says a future update will add the ability to generate invite links for others to join the conversation.

The new group messaging feature is rolling out gradually to users worldwide.
