HoYoverse has officially announced that Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” — Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise — An Elegy for Faded Moonlight — will launch globally on 22 October. This latest update brings the debut of the Miliastra Wonderland, an expansive new UGC system packed with player-created experiences and fresh gameplay modes.

Version “Luna II” will also see the return of familiar faces like Varka and Arlecchino, who join forces in Nod-Krai against new threats. Meanwhile, Nefer makes her playable debut as a five-star Dendro catalyst user, introducing a new Lunar-Bloom mechanic that redefines elemental combat.

The new Miliastra Wonderland system opens up a creative universe with hundreds of diverse Stages. Players who have completed “The Outlander Who Caught the Wind” can dive into this world to experience a variety of activities, from management sims and party games to PvP battles and adventure challenges. Miliastra Wonderland encourages both collaboration and competition, allowing players to connect with friends or go solo to chase high scores and achievements.

Each player’s avatar, or Manekin, can be fully customized with different hairstyles, facial features, accessories, and outfits. Outfit components can be mixed and matched freely or applied instantly using preset sets. More rewards such as trial vouchers, limited outfit sets, and exclusive cosmetics can be unlocked through events and Wonderland activities.

For creators, the Miliastra Sandbox introduces powerful editing tools that allow players to design and share their own custom Stages. Using Genshin Impact’s assets and gameplay systems, creators can shape terrain, configure logic flows, and even modify skill mechanics to craft entirely new experiences. To support these efforts, HoYoverse will provide tutorials, community platforms, and incentive programs that spotlight the best user-created content.

Beyond the sandbox, Version “Luna II” continues the Archon Quest storyline as players face Rerir, the Rächer of Solnari. The unyielding Grand Master Varka finally makes his in-game debut, joined by Arlecchino, The Marionette, and The Damselette of the Fatui Harbingers. Nefer, as the head of the Curatorium of Secrets, also plays a crucial role in uncovering Rerir’s motivations while joining the playable roster.

In battle, Nefer wields her Dendro catalyst to trigger Lunar-Bloom damage through her unique Verdant Dew mechanic. Her Elemental Skill transforms Charged Attacks into stamina-free special strikes that consume Dendro Cores and scale in power. Her abilities add a fresh layer of strategy to team compositions and exploration.

Completing the Archon Quest in Version “Luna II” rewards players with 560 Primogems, while additional events across Sumeru will offer new rewards, commissions, and even the chance to recruit Collei for free.

In the first half of the update, Event Wishes will feature Nefer alongside Furina, while the second half will bring back Arlecchino and Zhongli.

Genshin Impact Version “Luna II” launches 22 October for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS with cross-progression and Co-Op support.
