Honor has officially introduced the latest member of its popular X series in Malaysia, the Honor X9d, a rugged smartphone designed to withstand tough conditions while still offering modern flagship-like features. Priced from RM1,499, the X9d brings several industry-firsts to the mid-range market.

One of the biggest highlights is its SGS Triple-Resistant Certification, making it 25% more durable than its predecessor. The phone features a reinforced frame with improved shock absorption and a stronger, flat front glass for added protection. On top of that, the X9d is the first smartphone to carry an IP69K rating, providing full dust resistance and protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. The charging port also has a self-cleaning mechanism that actively expels water and dust.

Under the hood, the Honor X9d packs a massive 8,300mAh battery—another industry-first for smartphones. Combined with MagicOS 9.0’s power-saving optimizations and 66W Honor SuperCharge, users can expect all-day use with fast top-ups. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, paired with a 6.79-inch HONOR FullView AMOLED display supporting 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 6000 nits, making it ideal for both outdoor use and immersive content viewing.

On the camera side, the X9d sports a 108MP main shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 16MP selfie camera. AI-enhanced photography tools are included to help users capture clearer shots in different conditions.

Honor is also bringing two additional devices to Malaysia alongside the X9d: the Honor X7d, priced at RM799 with a RM100 rebate, and the Honor Pad X7 tablet for RM499.

The Honor X9d is available in four colors — Reddish Brown, Sunrise Gold, Forest Green, and Midnight Black. The 12GB/128GB model retails for RM1,499, while the 12GB/256GB variant is priced at RM1,699. Pre-orders run from 24 September to 9 October 2025, with buyers entitled to exclusive launch perks, including a free Honor Pad X7 worth RM1,146.
