Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.6 Arrives 24 September with Evernight and Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.6 update, “Back to Earth in Evernight,” will go live on 24 September. This update sees the arrival of two highly anticipated characters, with Evernight and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae officially joining the playable roster. As a special bonus, Trailblazers with Trailblaze Level 3 or higher can claim Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae for free for a limited time.

Alongside these additions, Version 3.6 introduces a host of new content. Players can take on the challenging new mode “Anomaly Arbitration,” which tests team-building skills across multiple stages, or dive into the seasonal fun of “Colorful Mayhem,” a multiplayer event filled with chaotic energy.

In the unfolding Amphoreus storyline, Miss Evernight reveals her vision of “Era Nova,” a path that challenges the established creed of salvation in pursuit of a different future. At the same time, Dan Heng prepares to return to Amphoreus once again, ready to face any danger for the sake of reuniting with the Astral Express.

Evernight herself joins the game as a 5-star Ice character following the Path of Remembrance. She specializes in fighting alongside memosprites, boosting their CRIT DMG and scaling further when other Remembrance Path characters are present. By summoning her memosprite “Evey,” Evernight builds up stacks of “Memoria” to increase its damage output. When she unleashes her Ultimate, both Evernight and Evey enter the “Darkest Riddle” state, amplifying their attacks while gaining even more “Memoria” from Skills to push Evey’s damage higher.

Meanwhile, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae offers a new take on the beloved Astral Express member. After wielding the Azure Dragon’s power as Imbibitor Lunae, he now embraces the Path of Permanence with abilities that focus on protection and support. In combat, he can designate a Bondmate and summon a Souldragon to aid them, while also providing stackable Shields for the entire team.

The Souldragon dispels debuffs, strengthens allies, and, when empowered by his Ultimate, unleashes a devastating Follow-up Attack against all enemies based on the Bondmate’s abilities. From his Warp until the end of Version 4.0, players can add him to their roster at no cost.

Beyond new characters and story developments, Version 3.6 debuts the periodic trial “Anomaly Arbitration,” where Trailblazers must form three separate teams to take on increasingly difficult stages and earn rewards such as the new “Interference Key.”

Several other events will also roll out during the update, including the dromas-raising event “Nice Weather for Dromases” and the lively “Colorful Mayhem.” To top it all off, the Main Story Replay feature is now available, giving players the chance to revisit past Trailblaze Missions, Continuances, and Companion Missions — complete with cutscenes — whenever they like.
