Honda Malaysia has officially launched the 2025 Honda HR-V facelift, bringing updated styling, improved connectivity, and two new colour options across its four-variant lineup. Prices for the refreshed HR-V start at RM115,900 on-the-road without insurance, topping out at RM143,900 for the hybrid e:HEV RS.

On the outside, the facelift introduces a redesigned front grille that blends seamlessly with the full LED headlights, now enhanced with Active Cornering Lights for improved visibility during night driving. Around the back, the HR-V adopts a sleek new look with a full-width LED taillight strip that gives the SUV a more premium and modern character. All four variants now ride on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels as standard, with the RS variant further distinguished by a sportier exterior thanks to the RS Package.

Moving into the interior, the e:HEV RS variant gains RS-embossed sporty seats, adding a more performance-oriented feel to the interior. All variants now feature a redesigned centre console that houses a wireless charging pad, while the infotainment system has been upgraded to a new floating-style 8-inch Display Audio Unit. This screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and comes standard across the range, making smartphone integration seamless regardless of variant.

In terms of convenience and everyday usability, Honda has added USB-C ports at both the front and rear of the cabin, ensuring all occupants have access to fast charging. Comfort is also improved through the inclusion of Honda’s Air Diffusion System, which channels airflow more gently and evenly throughout the cabin for a more pleasant in-car experience.

Under the hood, the 2025 HR-V offers three different powertrains to cater to a range of drivers. The entry-level S and E variants are powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces 121PS and 145Nm of torque, providing a practical and efficient drive for daily commuting. The V variant steps things up with a 1.5-litre VTEC turbocharged engine that delivers a punchier 181PS and 240Nm of torque, offering more dynamic performance.

At the top of the lineup is the RS e:HEV, which features Honda’s 1.5-litre dual-motor hybrid system, delivering a total system output of 131PS and 253Nm of torque. This hybrid setup transitions intelligently between EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive, optimising efficiency and performance without the need for manual intervention.

To match these powertrain options, the HR-V includes three selectable driving modes: ECON, Normal, and Sport, allowing drivers to tailor throttle response and power delivery based on their preferences or road conditions.

Honda has also enhanced the vehicle’s safety and connectivity offerings. The full Honda SENSING suite of advanced driver assistance systems now comes standard across all four variants and includes the newly added Adaptive Driving Beam function, which automatically adjusts the high beam to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic while maintaining optimal visibility.

Meanwhile, the brand’s Honda CONNECT system has been expanded to cover not only the higher-end variants but also the more affordable S and E trims, giving more drivers access to features such as remote vehicle monitoring, emergency alerts, and more.

The variant lineup includes the HR-V 1.5L S, priced at RM115,900, followed by the HR-V 1.5L E at RM130,900. The turbocharged HR-V 1.5L V comes in at RM137,900, while the range-topping hybrid, the HR-V 1.5L RS e:HEV, is priced at RM143,900. These prices are on-the-road without insurance.

For those looking to personalise their new HR-V, Honda has added two new exterior colour options: Phoenix Orange Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl. These join the existing palette of Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Stellar Diamond Pearl. The 2025 Honda HR-V facelift is now available for booking and test drives at authorised Honda dealerships nationwide.
