2025 Proton e.MAS 7 Update: New Exterior, Interior and Apple CarPlay Support

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, has just unveiled new variants of the national carmaker’s first EV, the Proton e.MAS 7. Based on real owner feedback, the e.MAS 7 now introduces new interior and exterior colour options, smarter features, and a new sales policy.

The Proton e.MAS 7 now comes in an Obsidian Black exterior colour, offering a more refined presence on the road. PRO-NET is also introducing an exclusive Alabaster White interior for the Quartz Rose and Turquoise Green Premium variants. This new interior option is limited to just 250 units each, adding an extra layer of exclusivity.

Inside, the updated Flyme Auto operating system delivers better responsiveness, smoother integration, and support for more third-party apps including Zoom for Cars, izi.TRAVEL, and the Vivaldi Browser. These additions further enhance the overall in-car experience for Proton e.MAS 7 users.

A long-requested feature, Apple CarPlay, is now available in both wired and wireless formats, offering greater convenience and seamless connectivity for iPhone users on the move. The refreshed OTA update also allows drivers to retain their last-used settings for added ease. Unfortunately, Android Auto will only be available toward the end of this year.

Personalisation has also been improved with updates to the EV’s low-speed pedestrian warning system, often referred to as the “ice-cream man” jingle. Designed to alert nearby pedestrians when the vehicle is moving slowly, the system now includes two additional sound profiles: Galactic Note and Space Walk, alongside the existing Classical tone. Drivers can choose their preferred sound to suit different environments or personal tastes. Once selected, the chosen melody remains in memory and will continue to play the next time the vehicle starts up.

Additionally, new and existing customers will be pleased to know that the e.MAS 7 now comes standard with a tonneau cover. Existing owners will soon receive the tonneau cover free of charge.

PRO-NET has also announced a new “Power Pack+” sales package to provide even more value for customers. The package includes a free 7kW home charger worth RM1,500, a complimentary V2L adaptor valued at RM500, and five years of unlimited internet data worth RM1,800. Buyers will also benefit from a six-year unlimited mileage warranty for the vehicle, plus an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery. Additionally, there is a trade-in rebate worth RM5,000 to sweeten the deal.

The refreshed Proton e.MAS 7 is now available at all authorised Proton e.MAS dealerships nationwide.
