Sony Malaysia has announced the launch of its 2025 BRAVIA TV lineup in Malaysia, featuring the BRAVIA 2 II, BRAVIA 5, and the BRAVIA 8 II. The lineup is powered by Sony’s XR Processor with an AI scene recognition system, with screen sizes ranging from as large as 98-inch in the new BRAVIA 5 to 43-inch in the BRAVIA 2 II.

BRAVIA 8 II

The BRAVIA 8 utilizes a QD-OLED panel with high colour purity and wide colour gamut. XR Triluminos Max enhances the display of more natural colours while preserving vivid brilliance, ensuring that colours appear accurate as can be. The aforementioned XR Processor features an AI scene recognition system that detects and analyses data present on screen and optimises the picture in order to achieve realism. With a high luminance panel and a temperature sensor, this TV with XR Contrast Booster precisely controls light for pictures full of depth and detail.

The Slim One Slate concept design of the BRAVIA 8 II fuses the screen and the bezel into a single slate, with the rear of the aluminium stand seemingly vanishing from view when seen from an angle. In the sound department, Acoustic Surface Audio + creates a cinema-like experience.

BRAVIA 5

The BRAVIA 5 carries over many of the technologies and features of the last year’s most advanced models into a more affordable, yet compelling audiovisual package. The LEDs are intelligently controlled by XR Backlight Master Drive, which shares its core technology with Sony’s professional monitors, with precise local dimming for stunning contrast, capturing light and shadow with detailed gradation, from subtle facial shading to bold highlights. Arriving in five different screen sizes ranging from 55-inch to 98-inch, BRAVIA 5 boasts several premium features which open the door to stunning pictures and room-filling sound.

BRAVIA 2 II

BRAVIA 2 II is a great starting point for anyone looking to get an exceptional viewing experience. This TV packs multiple essential features that make it a great companion for exciting film nights – even old HD favourites are upscaled to 4K, while Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility provides immersive audio. With Google TV at its core, it’s always full of content and easy to use.

The new BRAVIA lineup is equipped with Studio Calibrated modes that reproduce the image quality intended by filmmakers and content creators in a home setting. Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, SONY PICTURES CORE Calibrated Mode, and Prime Video Calibrated Mode ensure that films and shows are adjusted to match the creators’ vision.

Both BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre home audio products are compatible with IMAX Enhanced, an IMAX and DTS partnership. These products have undergone a rigorous certification process to meet the standard required to deliver an unparalleled experience with SONY PICTURES CORE and select films on Disney+. Fans can enjoy premium quality picture and sound on BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre home audio products with IMAX Enhanced mode, including IMAX Enhanced sound with DTS:X available on Disney+.

The BRAVIA TVs also supports both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for incredible brightness, sharper contrast, richer colours, and immersive sound on streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime.
