Yahoo Mail Drastically Reduces Storage for All Users – From 1TB to 20GB
AF
Yahoo has officially notified users that the storage limit for Yahoo Mail will be reduced to just 20GB, marking a major shift from the previous generous storage offering. No reason has been provided by Yahoo for this significant reduction.
Previously, Yahoo Mail stood out as one of the few free email services offering a massive 1TB of storage. This allowed users to archive years of emails and attachments without worrying about space. However, with the new policy update, the storage quota is being slashed to just 20GB, affecting all free account holders.
Even Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers aren’t spared from the cut. The premium tier, which previously offered 5TB of storage, will now be limited to 200GB. Unsurprisingly, this has upset many long-time users who subscribed specifically for the large storage space.
Yahoo has not commented further on the reasoning behind this decision, leaving users with little choice but to adapt or migrate their data elsewhere.
