Version 5.7 of Genshin Impact, titled “A Space and Time for You,” drops on 18 June. Alongside a new Archon Quest that continues the story of the Traveler twins, this update also introduces the long-awaited 5-star character, Skirk and a new 4-star support character, Dahlia.
Skirk, known as Childe’s mysterious master, was once a student of Surtalogi “The Foul,” one of Khaenri’ah’s infamous Five Sinners. Wielding Abyssal powers masked as Cryo, this 5-star character switches between two distinct combat modes: one focused on enhanced Normal Attacks for sustained damage, and another that unleashes powerful AoE Cryo damage via her Elemental Burst. Both modes consume Serpent’s Subtlety, a unique resource generated through her Skills and Talents, rather than standard Elemental Energy.
She also provides strong synergy for teams that include both Hydro and Cryo characters, granting them an extra level to their Elemental Skills—provided there is at least one of each element in the party—while significantly boosting her own damage output.

Joining her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro support character and the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. Dahlia provides versatile support through his Elemental Burst, which creates a renewable shield that can be refreshed using Normal Attacks or triggered Freeze reactions. His Talents can boost allies’ ATK SPD, while his Elemental Skill allows him to either launch teammates into the air or deal Hydro damage to nearby enemies.
In Version 5.7’s new Archon Quest, “Bedtime Story,” the tale of the Traveler and their sibling continues. As the Abyss Order begins to stir in Natlan, tensions rise. Natlan’s defenders—including Mavuika and her allies—remain vigilant, while Dainsleif joins the Traveler on the front lines in a form players have never seen before. As the quest delves deeper into the Abyss Order’s domain, the Traveler may finally uncover long-buried truths behind their sibling’s greater scheme.

On the lighter side, “Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter” brings a collection of heartwarming side stories from across Teyvat. Thoma returns to Mondstadt, Neuvillette pays a visit to Merusea Village, and Dori attempts to strike a deal with Sayu in Inazuma. These episodes offer a welcome break between the high-stakes moments of the main quest.
As for Event Wishes in Version 5.7, the first phase will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun of Shenhe. The second phase will include reruns of the Pyro Archon Mavuika and Emilie.
