Hollyland, best known for its popular wireless microphone systems like the LARK M1 and LARK M2S, has officially introduced two new additions to its lineup in Malaysia—the high-end LARK MAX 2 and the more accessible LARK A1. While the LARK MAX 2 aims to deliver production-quality sound with a suite of pro-level features, the LARK A1 is designed to offer solid performance for casual content creators at a budget-friendly price.

Building on the foundation of the original LARK MAX that launched nearly two years ago, the LARK MAX 2 comes equipped with several upgrades that make it suitable for more demanding production work. Some standout features include wireless monitoring, 32-bit float recording, timecode support, and Hollyland’s new AI-powered noise cancellation system.
The LARK MAX 2 uses 2.4GHz frequency hopping technology to maintain stable transmission with low latency, while allowing wireless audio monitoring via its OWS earphones. These can be connected over Bluetooth or through a direct receiver interface for cameras. Internally, each transmitter holds 8GB of storage, good for up to 10 hours of 32-bit float audio or 14 hours at 24-bit. Battery life is rated for 11 hours of continuous use on the transmitter and up to 36 hours with the included charging case. A full recharge takes just under 1.5 hours.

Hollyland also has a new AI-based noise-cancellation system trained on extensive speech datasets, the system intelligently reduces ambient noise such as wind or traffic with a claimed distortion level of less than 1%. The amount of noise reduction can be adjusted steplessly on-screen from 5dB up to 25dB.
Comfort and wearability have also been improved with a new skin-friendly excimer nano-coating, while the updated hover-clip system allows the microphone to attach securely to clothing or via magnets. The design feels premium and practical—built to support long shoots while remaining easy to wear.

The LARK MAX 2 is now available in three configurations depending on your production needs. The LARK MAX 2 Combo is priced at RM1,169 and includes the standard set with transmitters, receiver, charging case, and accessories. The Ultimate Combo, priced at RM1,299, adds extras such as the OWS wireless monitoring earphones and additional mounting options. For teams, there’s also a 4-person version of the LARK MAX 2 Combo available for RM1,449, allowing for multi-speaker or interview setups right out of the box.

The first 100 to pre-order the LARM MAX 2 Combo will get a free upgrade to the Ultimate Combo (worth RM1,299). Pre-orders start today and will end on 20 June 2025.

For those who find the LARK MAX 2’s feature set a little too involved, the new LARK A1 may be a better fit. Targeted at vloggers, solo creators, and those new to wireless audio, the LARK A1 provides clean, professional-grade sound without requiring deep technical knowledge or complex settings.
It supports 48kHz/24-bit high-fidelity audio and can handle loud environments thanks to its 120dB SPL rating, minimizing distortion even during more energetic vocal takes. For those who want more control over their sound, the system includes customizable EQ and reverb settings that can be tweaked to suit your recording environment or personal preferences.

The LARK A1 also comes with a 6-level gain control system and a flexible noise cancellation algorithm that adapts to a variety of situations. Hollyland claims it can filter out typical ambient sounds like wind, honking cars, room reverb, and even the hum of air conditioners, while still delivering a natural-sounding voice. The system’s three-level noise reduction adapts dynamically to maintain clarity, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor recording alike.
Despite its compact form factor, the LARK A1 is capable of impressive range and longevity. It weighs just 8g per transmitter and offers an operating range of up to 200 meters. Each transmitter can last up to 6.5 hours with noise cancellation enabled and up to 9 hours with it turned off. When paired with the included charging case, users can alternate between transmitters for up to 54 hours of continuous operation—ideal for long shoots or travel days.

The LARK A1 is available in several affordable configurations to suit different user needs. The standard LARK A1 Combo is priced at RM319 and includes two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case. A slightly more basic LARK A1 USB-C set (with a charging dock and without the charging case) is available for RM169. For creators on the go, the compact LARK A1 with Type-C and charging case retails at just RM212, while the Lightning version goes for Rm199.
