Version 2.0 of Zenless Zone Zero, “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,” is set to launch on 6 June, marking not just the start of the game’s second season, but also its official release on Xbox platforms. Alongside the new update, players can look forward to three new playable characters—Yixuan, Ju Fufu, and Pan Yinhu—as well as a suite of generous anniversary rewards.

In this major update, players will venture into Waifei Peninsula, a vibrant and remote district of New Eridu. Guided by Yixuan, the High Preceptor of Yunkui Summit, Proxies will delve deeper into the secrets of Phaethon and take on new Hollow exploration gameplay that taps into the forces of Ether.

Leading the roster of new agents is Yixuan, also known as the Grandmaster. An S-Rank Agent with the Auric Ink Attribute and Rupture Specialty, Yixuan boasts a unique mechanic that allows her to ignore enemy defense and deal all damage based on her Sheer Force, which scales with her ATK and Max HP. Rather than building regular Energy, she uses a special Adrenaline system and features two distinct Ultimate modes, offering flexibility in combat and a Void Hunter-like edge to any lineup.

Joining her is Ju Fufu, an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent and the senior disciple of Yunkui Summit. Alongside her weapon, Hu Wei, Ju Fufu can accumulate Might and Momentum to deal both Physical and Fire damage. Her Chain Attack provides the team with Tiger’s Roar, a buff that enhances CRIT DMG, Chain Attack, and Ultimate damage.

Also debuting is Pan Yinhu, an A-Rank Physical Defense Agent, alongside Belion, an S-Rank Bangboo from Yunkui Summit. Rounding out the banners are the returning S-Rank Ether Support Astra Yao and S-Rank Physical Defense Caesar, both making a comeback for Version 2.0.

To celebrate the anniversary of Zenless Zone Zero, players will receive an impressive range of in-game rewards. Proxies will be able to select one free S-Rank Agent and one S-Rank W-Engine from the Stable Channel, in addition to receiving 1,600 Polychromes, an exclusive anniversary title, and an avatar.

By completing special challenges and event commissions during the anniversary period, players can also obtain 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, and new outfits for the protagonists. It’s safe to say this is shaping up to be one of HoYoverse’s most generous update celebrations to date.
