Following the passing of Han Jong-hee last week at the age of 63 due to cardiac arrest, Samsung Electronics has announced key leadership changes within the company. TM Roh, who currently serves as the President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Experience (MX) Division, has been appointed as the Acting Head of the Device Experience (DX) Division. He will oversee the division’s operations until a permanent successor is selected.

Han Jong-hee had played a crucial role in shaping Samsung’s mobile and consumer electronics business, and his sudden passing came at a challenging time for the company, which is facing increased competition in the global market.
In addition, Samsung has also announced the appointment of Mauro Porcini as President and Chief Design Officer (CDO). With extensive experience in consumer-focused design innovation from his previous roles at PepsiCo and 3M, Porcini is expected to further elevate Samsung’s design strategy and user experience across its product lineup.
