A few days after its global debut, Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro have officially launched in Malaysia. Nothing prioritized these mid-range models over the flagship Phone (3), recognizing that mid-range devices sell better than high-end ones.

Both models share the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, 6.77-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging. However, the Phone (3a) Pro features a 3x periscope zoom camera and a 50MP selfie camera, while the standard Phone (3a) has a 2x telephoto zoom and a 32MP selfie camera. The Glyph lighting system remains intact on both models.

A key highlight of the Nothing Phone (3a) series is its AI-focused Essential Key, a dedicated button that activates Essential Space, allowing users to capture screenshots, summarize content, and set reminders using AI. The devices also feature IP64 water resistance, stereo speakers, and run on Nothing OS 3.1 with built-in Circle to Search. Nothing promises 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
