Microsoft has introduced a free version of Microsoft Office, allowing users to access Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at no cost—but with ads. This option could be useful for students and workers who can’t afford a subscription. The feature was recently discovered by Beebom, as Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement.
Ads appear as static images or 15-second videos on the sidebar while using the software. However, the free version comes with limitations—features like Add-Ins, advanced image editing, data analysis, and macros are unavailable. Users can only perform basic edits, and files can only be saved to OneDrive (5GB storage), with no option to save directly to a personal computer.

To access the free version, users can download Microsoft Office from the official website, install it, and choose not to sign in to a Microsoft account. The free mode option will then appear. Currently, this feature is only available on Windows PCs.
