Facebook has announced a major change in how it stores Facebook Live videos. Starting February 19, 2025, all Live videos will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

Users will still be able to watch, share, and download their Live videos for up to a month before they are permanently removed. Additionally, all older Live videos that have been on Facebook for more than 30 days will be gradually deleted in the coming weeks.
Facebook suggests users convert key moments from Live videos into Reels to preserve highlights. While the company hasn’t provided a clear reason for this change, it cites industry standards and storage policies as factors.
If you have Live videos you want to keep, now’s the time to download them before they’re gone.
