U Mobile Rolls Out 5G Standalone (SA) Access for Select Plans

U Mobile has officially started rolling out 5G Standalone (SA) access in phases, available exclusively for selected plans.

Unlike standard 5G, 5G SA operates on a dedicated infrastructure, without relying on 4G network infrastructure. This results in lower latency, faster and more stable speeds, and support for network slicing, which is particularly useful for industries requiring specialized connectivity.

For now, 5G SA access is limited to subscribers of U Postpaid 98, U Biz 98, U Premium, and U Platinum plans. More details on wider availability are expected soon.
