A month after its global debut, the refreshed Tesla Model Y has officially arrived in Malaysia, showcased at Pavilion Damansara. The updated design, inspired by the Cybertruck, brings several aesthetic refinements and minor spec upgrades.

The exterior features new full-width LED bars for both the front and rear lights, replacing the previous more traditional look. Inside, Tesla retains the turn signal stalk, unlike recent models that integrate it into the steering wheel. Comfort has also been improved with 22% less road noise and 20% less wind noise. The rear seats are now electronically adjustable, and storage capacity reaches 2,130 liters.
Tesla is offering two variants:
- RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) – 466km WLTP range, 0-100 km/h in 5.9s
- AWD Long Range (All-Wheel Drive) – 551km WLTP range, 0-100 km/h in 4.3s
Both models have a top speed of 201 km/h.

Pricing starts at RM195,450 for the RWD model and RM242,450 for the AWD Long Range. Buyers can customize colors, features, and software. Early buyers will receive an exclusive ‘Launch Series’ package, including decorative badges, special rear emblems, and unique puddle lights, while AWD Long Range buyers will also get the ‘Acceleration Boost’ upgrade.
