According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hasbro is partnering with Legendary Entertainment to develop a Magic: The Gathering (MTG) cinematic universe, which will include both a movie and a TV series.

The first project will reportedly be a feature film, with a TV series planned afterward. This follows Hasbro’s previous announcement of a Magic: The Gathering animated series for Netflix, which was set to involve The Russo Brothers.

Legendary Entertainment, known for building franchises like Dune and Godzilla vs. Kong, is also working on a live-action Gundam movie with Bandai Namco, further expanding its portfolio of beloved IPs.

Since its debut in 1993, Magic: The Gathering has remained one of the most popular trading card games, featuring rich lore and deep storytelling—making it an exciting foundation for a new cinematic universe.
