ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra Arrives with 50MP Gimbal Camera and Snapdragon 8 Elite
February 6, 2025 AF

ASUS has officially launched the Zenfone 12 Ultra, a flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The device features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 5500mAh battery supporting 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.

The camera setup includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor with gimbal stabilization, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera. Other notable features include IP68 water and dust resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Running on Android 15, the Zenfone 12 Ultra comes with AI-powered features like real-time voice transcription, live translation during video calls, and automatic document summarization. However, ASUS only promises two major Android updates, which may disappoint some users.

Currently, the device is available in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the EU, starting at €1,100. Given the Zenfone series’ absence from the Malaysian market in recent years, the chances of this model being sold locally remain slim.
