A surprisingly casualty of the TikTok ban in the US is Marvel Snap, along with several ByteDance apps such as CapCut and Lemon8. These apps are currently not accessible in the US, though Second Dinner – the developer of Marvel Snap – says that the popular card game will be back up in the region “within 24 hours.”

This is confirmed in an announcement posted on Marvel Snap’s Discord server a few hours ago. “We’ve been working around the clock to bring Marvel Snap back up in the US and hope to have it back online within 24 hours. We’ll update you once it’s back up,” the statement reads.

Given that players in the US won’t be able to participate in time-limited content in Marvel Snap due to the ban, Second Dinner will be providing some form of compensation. More details will be provided “as the situation evolves,” and the good news is, all players regardless of region will be compensated.

Hopefully, Marvel Snap will indeed be back up in the US in the next 24 hours. It’s worth noting that players outside of the region, including us in Malaysia, can still access the game without issues. That being said, there’s a chance matchmaking will take up more time as players based in the US cannot access the game right now.
