Honor is kicking off 2025 with the launch of its brand new flagship smartphone in Malaysia, the Honor Magic 7 Pro. Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the premium phone also has a number of neat features, including AI deepfake detection.

For the Malaysian market, the Magic 7 Pro is offered in two variants. The base 12GB + 512GB model is priced at RM4,599, while the 16GB + 1TB configuration goes for RM5,199. Those who pre-order the phone by 16 January will receive up to RM2,096 worth of freebies too.

One of the most highlighted features of the Magic 7 Pro is on-device AI deepfake detection; it is touted as the first smartphone in the world to have this ability. Basically, the AI feature is able to detect deepfakes within three seconds of a video call, which could prove to be useful for folks who are wary of scams.

Other specifications of the Magic 7 Pro include the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 6.8-inch 2800 x 1280 OLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 200MP periscope telephoto + 50MP ultra-wide), a 50MP selfie camera, an IP68/IP69 rating, and a 5,850mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is now available for pre-order in Malaysia from RM4,599 until 16 January 2025. To recap, those who place an order by that date will get free gifts worth RM2,096, including a Honor Watch 5, a RM200 instant rebate, a wireless charging stand, and extended warranty coverage.
