Apple’s Swift Student Challenge is returning next month on 3 February 2025. First started in 2020, students can participate in the challenge to create apps using Swift, a programming language developed by Apple itself.
350 winners of the Swift Student Challenge will be selected based on submissions that demonstrate “excellence in innovation, creativity, social impact, or inclusivity,” as Apple puts it. 50 Distinguished Winners – a category that was added last year – will also be invited to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California for three days.
To help students get ready for the challenge, they can join an online session hosted by Apple, where they can learn about participating in said challenge. Students can even pick up tips from a former Challenge winner, and the updated Develop in Swift Tutorials are also offered to help students understand the foundations of coding.
The Swift Student Challenge will be returning on 3 February 2025, and students have a three-week window to send in their submissions. More details on the challenge can be found on Apple’s official website, and the chosen 350 winners will receive a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Programme, along with a special gift (and more) from Apple.
